Does Bernard Wealth Management receive any commissions from investment management or financial recommendations?
No. We never receive commissions or any other form of remuneration as a result of our recommending a particular product or service. Our sole source of revenue is investment management fees, which are generally based on a percentage of assets under management.
-
Does Bernard Wealth Management require a minimum fee for taking on a new wealth management relationship?
Our stated minimum is $250,000 of investible assets. However, we are always happy to meet to discuss your needs, and there is no fee for an initial consultation.
-
Are investment returns guaranteed?
No. Investing involves risk of loss, which clients should be prepared to bear.
-
Are taxes considered when making investment decisions?
Yes. We regularly review accounts for realized gains and losses, and will attempt to take losses to minimize taxes. However, unless clients instruct otherwise, we will sell positions for fundamental or valuation reasons, rather than holding to avoid taxes.
